Two Continents – Your Itinerary

Two continents in one cruise! Sailing from Asia to Europe this cruise takes you down the stunning Datça peninsula across to the beautiful Greek island of Symi where you cannot fail to be enchanted by the pastel colours of the beautiful Venetian buildings that frame its picture postcard harbour. Next on the agenda is Rhodes Town. Once home to the Knights of St John the cobbled streets of the fortified old town lead you through into the cosmopolitan 'New Town' with its abundance of shops and restaurants. You couldn't ask for a more relaxing way to take in so many contrasting destinations. All you need to do is relax, tan and unwind on deck and let your captain show you the way:

Day 1 Marmaris

Once you arrive in Marmaris, you will make your way to the Yacht Marina and be escorted to your Gulet (Airport Transfers can be booked through us on request). Depending on your flight time, after you have checked in you are likely to have free time before and after dinner to explore the local town, the bustling bazaar and the cosmopolitan marina. Dinner will be served onboard the Gulet and you will also stay overnight in Marmaris port onboard your home for the week.

Day 2 Arap Island - Bozukkale

For your first day of sailing we head for Arap Island , where you can swim whilst the crew prepare your lunch. Sailing on to Bozukkale, the ancient Loryma you can visit the remains of the fortress. Bozukkale cove is also perfect for surfing, swimming and diving.

Day 3 Bozburun

After breakfast you will set sail for the bay of Bozburun. You are welcome here to try your hand at managing the ship under full sails, don't worry you will be under the guidance of the skipper. Bozburun is a quiet little fishing village. It used to be the key point for sponge picking along the Turkish coast, but nowadays people here earn their living in a much less dangerous way by building the typical broad-beamed wooden "Gulets" just like the one you are sailing on. You will overnight in one of the bays of Bozburun.

Day 4 Datça

After breakfast you set sail to Datça. On the way you will make a short stop at Bencik Bay - it's local name means literally 'where the fish jump over', after a short walk up the hill you will have fantastic views of Gokova and Hisaronu Bay. Datça is one of many fascinating small towns in Turkey and the nearest town to Knidos an ancient city. You will have the chance to visit Knidos as an optional excursion, this will be while the boat stocks up on various supplies. Your gulet will moor in Datça or one of the nearby bays where you will dine and stay for the night .

Day 5 Symi

After finishing the customs formalities we will set sail into Greek waters for the stunning little island of Symi. Its charming houses tumble down the hillsides around the port in an array of warm pastel colours. Many travellers have arrived in Symi and stayed forever, being wooed by its charm.

Day 6 Rhodes

After a lazy breakfast in the view of the idyllic fisherman's harbour of Symi, we will set sail for Rhodes. Arriving in Rhodes in the early afternoon you will have time to explore the Old Town and wander through its maze of cobbled streets - before hitting the shops in the new town. The Acropolis stands above the Town of Rhodes and with a bit of exploration you can see the amazing panoramic views of Turkey and Rhodes from the top of Monte Smith. At night throw yourself heart and soul into the town's nightlife, exploring Bar Street in the New Town or the more sophisticated Greek nightlife in the Old Town.

Day 7 Kadirga - Marmaris

After completing customs formalities during the morning you will head back to where it all began, Marmaris Marina. There will be plenty of swim stops along the way before your gulet moors in the Marina where you will enjoy your final evening meal onboard. After dinner a stroll along the promenade to take in the sights and sounds of this bustling town is difficult to resist before you perhaps join your fellow travellers for a few farewell cocktails on bar street .

Day 8 Disembarkation

The crew will serve breakfast before you disembark at around 10am.

Please note:

The captain may change the route due to weather conditions. There will be plenty of swim stops everyday for you to take the opportunity to swim, snorkel and fish in the crystal blue waters of the Aegean.

The Two Continents Gulet cruise sets sail every Saturday, so you will need to arrive on the Saturday for your first night on the Gulet.
